Cancellation of the last recruitment will be the most wicked thing APC govt will embark on. The current recruits have gone too far, they've sacrificed their former jobs, risked their lives for traveling to unknown states all in the bid to serve their fatherland. It will be to callous to just truncate their appointment. The question remains, 1. Are the people recruited not nigerians 2. Didn't APC promised the youths jobs during their campaigns? 3. What about the strenuous 3 months induction they went through? Don't also forget that these guys have been exposed to various weapon handling, they might be a threat to the national security. If this APC government is really what they claim to be then they should rather create more n more jobs rather than retrench.

I understand how you feel, I was also part of the process and I have my reservations.However,PDP started the political games with their last minute recruitment when they already know the financial mess Nigeria is in right now,so,I wouldn't want to heap the blames totally on the APC. This government is trying to fix a lot of mess he met on ground and I know PMB is really concerned about the unemployment and underemployment which has become a plague in Nigeria,so I know he would do something about it once he is settled. You are so on point my brother,however,the 10,000 police recruitment was due to the security challenge in the country,the NPF gave the recommendation as an excuse,saying they are understaffed. As for the Immigration staffs being understaffed,let me ask,have you ever been to any immigration office? My brother,they are so overstaffed that some,even most are idle and they even decide to run shifts,so everyone would be engaged. Most government jobs are overstaffed o,its just a means by the government to create employment for people which is a good thing.

Even in America once there was a case I was involved in, just because I was black, my cousin and I who is a case worker were pulled over and frisked, in the San Antonio area of Texas. The question here is the process was so rigourous involving travelling cost and also risk this things cannot be quantified and alas some people got the jobs without even a sweat. A former commissioner in Aregbe's cabinet got his son a slot, whom was a school mate of mine in Bowen during undergraduate years. This guy was working with mtn before and from the comfort of his office was given his APL. Now that the exercise has been cancelled do you expect me to feel sorry for him? I called him to make jest and as friends we laughed it off but the question remains since there was no fairness in the recruitment process, search your heart and tell me why should you canvass that those who were inducted should be retained? You keep harping on about a better Nigeria should we let this NIS issue slide tell me has there been a level playing field in all areas? your analysis is quite right but some people seek govt jobs because they are lazy and want a montonous job others because of the assurance of a quick rise aided by godfathers others yet out of povertyy or joblessness, different strokes for different folks. What I believe is if you want a better Nigeria no matter whose ox is gored you have to do what's right. In my state cars parked along the road wrongly are towed away and offenders fined. I know it might be harsh due to the economic realities on ground but that has lessened traffic and congestion, so if this NIS thingy will give justice so be it, mind you I am a card carrying pdp member so I am not in support of buhari just that this action makes sense.
