The instrument isn’t painful at all. Unlike electric clippers that vibrate when barbing the hair, this one is cool. Few people use the clipper to barb these days especially northerners. cheesy

It's painful for some people o! It was painful for me, though not everytime.

The barber wasn’t gentle. My barber back then was always gentle when cutting my hair. I always doze off when he was cutting. The part I enjoyed most was when he would apply soap lather at the back of my head just to give me the perfect curve. Oga Joe, rest in peace. Na barber you been be.
sad

I'm in my late 20s but sincerely I don't know what that is. Never seen it. It's either razor blade with comb or clippers.

Did you also noticed that the barbers were always elderly men? Their sight alone was scary. grin grin

Wow...memories.

Those days, the barber will just be knocking your head and turning it left, right and center and you will just be there murmuring, you dare not utter a word....funny how time flies.

I always wondered why. The interesting thing is that it was in the mid to late 1980s when there was a change from manual to electric clippers that the barbers also changed from elderly men to young boys.
