Sad. So NN refurbishes 3 patrol boats and that huge commissioning celebration was organised? Until the services start getting serious, this cycle of mediocrity will not end. Well, they necessity is the mother of invention. Many concerned citizens of and interested parties in Nigeria have been calling for localised ship building but nothing serious has happened. With Nigerdock facilities and other marine facilities in Nigeria. By now, Nigeria should be building the hulls of vessels of up to 3000 tons at home. Imagine the cost that will be cut if all hulls are built at home and Nigeria enters into agreement with some small but faithful companies from countries like Russia or Germany to outfit the vessels with engines, navigation and weapons systems. Patrol boats, FACs and other light vessels should be things routinely built in house. The human and industrial capacity is there, but I suppose it is not attractive enough to do business at home.

Well said mate... cool

I admire the handiwork of the algerian services.

From what I saw on the IMI -300 it looks more sophisticated/defferent than the pictures I posted. Here is a link ; http://www.militaryfactory.com/smallarms/detail.asp?smallarms_id=117
It does look like down to the iron sights.

They look alike because both NNS Yola and NNS Brass are the inspiration for NNS Andoni.

Nice observation........... grin
And I think the reason why is carrying all that on his frontal torso, is simply because they are easily fitted, so in other words it becomes part of him. Now carrying additional ammo and other survival kits on his back(bag pack) is a serious harzard......... lipsrsealed considering the harsh weather of Sambisa forest and patrols on foot that they make during operations........ undecided

yes
and i was saying that the man is very heavily armed , it indicates NA regular infantry small arms inventory is up-to mark ,

but would like to see similar improvement in medium and heavy caliber arms
like long range MBRL , ATGM , towed artillery , motorized artillery , IFV etc

TROOPS AMBUSH BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS

******WARNING DISTURBING IMAGES**********

Following information of suspected Boko Haram elements crossing point across Maiduguri-Bulabulin-Damboa road, troops of 81 Battalion and 251 Task Force Battalion, both of 25 Task Force Brigade, staged a deliberate ambush against the terrorists logistics elements on motorcycles and bicycles crossing from Sambisa forest to Alagarno general area around Nyaleri yesterday night.

During the operation, the troops killed 2 Boko Haram terrorists, wounded several others and recovered some arms, ammunitions and other items.

Specifically, they recovered 1 AK-47 Assault rifle, with registration number 27875, 1 hand grenade, 4 AK-47 magazines loaded with ammunition, assorted food items, sex enhancing drugs, such Viagra, foot wears and bathroom slippers. Others include 3 motorcycles, 10 bicycles, tool kits and assorted clothing, 5 rechargeable lamps and 5 litres of Kerosene. As well as military uniforms, amongst other things.

From all indications, the terrorists attempted to resupply and sell the items to other terrorists hibernating elsewhere after being displaced from parts of Sambisa forest.

The troops have continued with the clearance and rescue operations while others are maintaining blocking positions.

Thank you for your kind and usual cooperation.

US Navy seals in Syria.

We can see that at-least aesthetically, there is no difference between a US Navy seal/Green Beret from a Nigerian commando in the field.
