Business Analysis

* Conduct and prepare regular analysis to support business plans/ objectives
* Generate periodic data forecasts as required (e.g. customer data, competitive info , call volumes, etc)

* Document findings and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.
* Assist in generating and updating periodic reports in formats prescribed. Ensure elements required for reports are promptly provided

Project Involvement

* Arrange and book local or international flights for MTNN staff, visitors and consultants and their families (if need be) ensuring good value for money, timely delivery of tickets and seamless protocol service
* Plan itinerary and book hotel accommodation for MTNN staff, visitors and consultants and their families (if need be) traveling on international or local routes
* Prepare reports and maintain related documentation for audit purposes and ease of retrieval
* Liaise with travel agents and airlines to make arrangements for excess baggage allowance where necessary
* Arrange for airport pick ups and other protocol related service for MTN expats and visitors traveling international or local routes
* Maintain relationship with travel agencies and providers to ensure cost effectiveness and prompt service delivery
* Review and manage all documents relating to international and local travel (e.g. travel requisition, passport/visa copies, leave forms, purchase requisition etc) to ensure they comply with MTNN’s Travel and hotel policy
* Monitor the appointed travel agents activities to ensure that the MTN policy and standard are maintained
* Arrange for emergency/medical exit
* Arrange for charter flights when needed/necessary
* Respond to unforeseen circumstances using knowledge- based judgment to resolve emergency travel situations for all MTNN staff/authorized visitors/consultants
* Assist MTNN personnel/visitors/consultants in meeting personal travel needs
* Manage available resources effectively to maintain optimal performance and reduce travel related hitches to the barest minimum

Required Skills:

NMC Engineer (Ojota)

Job Description:

· Provide 24*7*365 network management; faults detection, analysis, troubleshooting, escalation and resolution of all network related faults i.e. core (Switching), Transmission (radios, Muxes, ADM, Fibre Optics etc), Power(Intrusion, Rectifiers etc)
· Activation of newly integrated BTS sites, Nodes (core element) after normal working hours, weekend, public holidays in ensuring optimal network performance and meeting business objectives and plans at all times
· Detecting and acknowledging of all alarms from all network elements such as Core, Transmission and Power Networks
· Real Time Performance/Management of all network elements for effectiveness and provision of daily reports for the next action to be carried out to improve network quality
· Perform routine maintenance on all network nodes across all switching centres in the country
· Assume responsibility for correctly forwarding trouble tickets issued against all MTN staff, other GSM providers, International providers, and MTN contractors. Also ensure that those tickets are resolved within specified period
· Identifying the malfunctioning of network element for overall efficiency and trouble spots using various NMC tools such as Ericsson TMOS, Huawei iManager T2000, DXX Transmission, Harris NetBoss, Prov6, FACTS and some NMC customized tools
· Escalate all unresolved faults to the NMC Coordinator if necessary
· Act as interface and also provide access ref number to MTN Contractors, Field Engineers, Operational Maintenance Centre Engineers and other GSM/PTOs companies for planned work/change request and access to all MTN Location
· Hands on resolution of faults on Core Nodes (Switching) and Transmission Network
· Perform NMC duties as instructed by NMC Coordinator e.g. correlation of outages, reporting, follow up and resolution of specific network faults
· Escalate all faulty devices or hardware detected after troubleshooting /diagnosing (which cannot be resolved remotely) to the Field Support Engineers (Radio, Transmission , ESS and others) for replacement in order to improve network performance
· Provide real time security information to all regional security offices across the country in order to protect all MTNN equipments through real time network surveillance
· Provide ideas and feedback on software tools, procedures and improvements to NMC functionality
· Assist Capital Program Group Engineers/ Radio Engineers/ Optimization and Support Personnel with troubleshooting/diagnosing and resolution of complex faults
· Ensure proper management and implementation of all network changes according to the organization process and procedures
· Provide regular update on MTNN performance and other network issues to all stakeholders Management, Escalation unit, sales and distribution, customer relations, marketing and other relevant departments in MTNN
· NMC shift hand-over procedure is strictly adhered to
Any extra duty as given from time to time by the NMC Coordinator

Required Skills:


* At least 2-3 years hands-on experience in light current Telecommunications or a related field
