The lastest twist in the local politics of Lagos state is growing into what may end up marginalising a section of the state. While many lagosians feel the Oba of Lagos has gone too far with the "die in lagoon" threat, the tide is now turning against the Igbos. Lagosians are unhappy that Ohaneze is threatening the Oba. The new chorus now is " We will show them who owns Lagos" or " We will vote for PDP and see what will happen" depending on where you tune your ears.

Many share the sentiment of the King that Lagos state had been denied many benefits because it has always been in opposition to the ruling party and now the opportunity has come to be part of the Federal government. And not just a part but the origin of the APC. Even Jimi Agbaje has always argued and correctly that for Lagos to see further development it must cease to be in opposition to the Federal government.

If Lagos votes for APC the benefits will come to all Lagosians. If the transport system impoves the benefit will come to all. Lagosians are largely wondering what the Igbos will gain in being in the PDP when the most prominent politicians in the South east are ready to dump the PDP from May 29, 2015 in order to gain relevance in Federal politics.

Agbaje is a lagosian, Ambode is a lagosian, which ever way the Igbos vote a Yoruba man will be governor of Lagos. If PDP wins, Lagos will continue to be in the opposition party and who will benefit from that? The Igbos? I don't think so.

It's time for all lagosians irrespective of their ethnicity or ancestry to put the interest of Lagos first. As things stand at the moment, largely Lagosians will vote APC while majority Igbos will vote PDP. INEC will determine the result

Good for you. If you think your decision is best for Lagos state. That's fine but most lagosians will vote for APC.

Yeah, GEJ/PDP did it and they failed woefully hence the Igbos will not produce the Senate President and also lose out on some key developmental projects.

One would have thought that a lesson was learnt with the outcome of the presidential election but here we are again and the Igbos are playing their own brand of politics of hatred which will surely backfire on them.

Should all Igbos in Lagos vote for PDP, will it guarantee JK the governorship? I am sure they know the answer.

A word they say is enough for the wise.

Igbo need to thread carefully , if JK wins he very much will sell the Igbo to appease his Yoruba brethren. You can quote me on that. JK the Afenifere secretary is substantially more Yoruba than Ambode, however the main concern is thus

JK does not have the credentials Ambode has , or the capacity to further develop and manage a mega economy as Ambode has already been doing in Lagos over the past years.

Mainly Lagos is on the verge of unifying with the FG and there is no way the home of the APC chieftain Tinubu would be sabotaged by non indegens, it is rude !

What the oba said is wrong, and out of turn
BUT

He is the king and can not apologise , anyone hurt should just take it like that

In order words they will use their head to break the proverbial coconut.

No well meaning lagosian will vote for PDP. The development of Lagos state is more important than resentment for a King. And besides the Oba will continue to be Oba whoever wins the election. Showing an absolute disregard for the Lagos (Yoruba) culture by threatning the King will not do well for those who consider themselves Igbos and not lagosians. Isese lagba.
