Pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere has called on the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu to drop his crown and pursue politics following his recent anti-igbo remarks. Spokesperson of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin spoke to Vanguard about the position of the group;
"We say with all sense of responsibility that if these were truly the words of Kabiyesi, he has clearly crossed the line of royal decency, desecrated the royal stool and violated the electoral laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and engaged in promotion of hate speech capable of fueling ethnic tension and clashes which are against the spirit of peaceful co-existence which we have achieved in recent years.
We respect the right of Oba Akiolu to drop the crown at Iga and become Director of Mobilisation for the leader of his party if he so desires, but we detest his hiding behind the throne to fan the embers of disunity which could put Yoruba people in harm’s way wherever they are living as settlers. Yoruba people are too civilized to support the primitive intimidation of fellow Nigerians just as we will not accept such action being visited on our people in any part of Nigeria.” he said

There is every truth that Oba is covertly campaigning for JK.

We have analysed his comments and found out that he did that for JK just to bring down Ambode.

JK we know.

He will defect, go to bourdillon and postrate.
We will see who will laugh last.

Truth be told....until JK started his campaign, Lagos didnt have Igbos, Yorubas or Hausas. All she had were Lagosians. The hussles and buzzles...the hard life...the struggle for survival...from the bus conductors..to the bus drivers...passengers...commuters...agbero...bla bla bla...they all spoke a common Lagos language...with the common Lagos sharpness...common Lagos alertness and a common Lagos vision...the vision for a better developed, peaceful and greater opportunities Lagos. This bond had built their drive for prosperity...from Tinubu to Fashola...working hand in hand with a very ethnic rich cabinet...made of pat utomu, joe igbokwe, ben akabueze, and a host of others, lagosians had always been lagosians. But like I said...that was until JK started his campaign.
Just like PDP is known..taking devilish advantage of our differences... Religious differences on a national level, ethnic differences on a local level..and even academic differences on certain occasions...this has been the hallmark of pdp.
Lagosians should look beyond these difference as always...vote for the party that has always offered the best. Feel free to vote Ambode or JK ... But keep tribal diff out of the way...because at the end of the day...everyone shares the same struggle

Even if all igbos in southeast move down to Lagos and vote for JK he won't win. You Internet mongrels can keep you your stupidity.

JK you know, just the way you knew GEJ? Let me help you out, if Jonathan couldn't win Lagos with his 18 million TAN maggots, then the game is up for just kidding.

I thought the Yoruba nairalanders here said the Igbo's votes in Lagos are insignificant in determining Lagos State Governor. Why then was the Oba threatening them? the Oba should go on his knees to beg the Igbo for forgiveness.
