The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Cross River State, Sylvester Ezeani has taken delivery of all necessary materials ahead of Saturday’s election.

Receiving the materials at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Calabar, the State Capital, Ezeani reiterated the preparedness of the commission to hold Saturday’s polls devoid of challenges as witnessed during the March elections.

Mr Ezeani maintained that, over 2000 card readers to be used for the polls have been effectively reconfigured to enable the machines function effectively without causing unnecessary delays as experienced during the last elections.

Mr Ezeani however, assured the people of the State, of conducting a free, fair and credible polls acceptable by the electorates.

I pray there will be election in those areas this time around. Thank God for the North and south west that really voted. What would have been our story today. Whoever win in those area is not our concern, the centre has been liberated together with legislative. The main deal is Lagos because it must not fall into the hands of cancerworms. The progress must spread to Lagos, we re ready to fight it like the presidential election. With God on our side, we shall win.
