Top musician Abolore Akande, popularly known as 9ice, has been appointed as the Special Adviser to the governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi, who is seeking a re-election on Saturday. The Gongo Aso crooner joined All Progressives Congress, APC and contested for the ticket of the party for the Ogbomosho Federal Constituency but was defeated at the primary. His appointment was announced on Twitter, although, his primary assignment to the governor is unknown as at now. |

If this News is truth then I think the Governor is only trying to use 9ice to gain votes from Ogbomosho and its environs as it is clear as crystal that the people of Ogbomosho are solidly behind Alao Akala (I am not a fan of anybody). Wise move but a late one if U ask me cos from what have seen so far in Oyo State (Ogbomosho in particular) no one wants him (the governor) to rule them again. But this is Nigeria, anything can happen, but am pretty sure that the post is between Ladoja Alao Akala And The Current Governor. All the Best Oyo State. |
