The only reason is because Lagos was once the FTC. Abuja is also that way. If they really created the enabling environment you are talking about, why can't such happen in Oyo or Ogun.

Igbos have lots and lots of stake in Lagos, did yu see igbos contesting for elective post in any other south west state? how many yorubas have any stake in igboland? even northerners have much larger stake in the east than yoruobas.

yes, DAT is more of the scenario, ibo's came with bloc votes to prove a worthless point, but Yoruba's in their typical liberal mindedness choose to vote for PDP, there was no bloc votes by Yoruba's in Lagos, my uncle who voted yesterday in lag cast his vote for PDP in presidential and gubernatorial. I make bold to say roughly 90% of IBO voters in Lagos went one way, the PDP way, you can deny this for all you care.
