kodlins:Between the time Lagos ceased to be the FCT and now, something could have reduced the strength and influence of the Igbo, but it didn't. That's what I'm saying. However, I fully understand and agree with your opinion. The former FCT factor played a part too. 1 Like |

ibedun: Lol. You sound sooo pained! ;d Ok, but the Osun state dude who ruled lagos and the Ilaje (Ondo state) guy wanting to rule Lasgidi are allowed to have empires outside lagos, with lagos money? Ok o. "We have hear". Relax bro, by 2019, you will see more non-indigiene posters contesting for posts here. 2 Likes |

That is not surprising, u are a woman All Im saying is that we should forget about who wins and focus on whether the person will perform or not and being a non-indigene and knowing ourselves, the indigenes should watch them very closely so they do not syphon their money elsewhere! |

This is what they need, they don't need a governor to voice their political opinions and interest in a state where they are law abiding citizen. They just need a strong political force that can represent their interests. Interests shiuksnt be getting contracts through the back door like Tinubu, but making sure that the services they pay their taxes for are duly and fairly delivered by the government. At the same time they should be paying interest at what is going on their states of origin, gaining ground politically and making sure the thieves there are put in check too. Nigerians are way too primitive to form a union on the basis of a country, they are still very much in a tribal mode and the way things are going, anything can happen. Like Yemen. |

Resentment only self-destroys.They don't know that it is in SE that a non indigene of Fulani/Hausa ethnic stock was elected into the assembly for the first time in Nigeria before the civil war. Igbos have lots and lots of stake in Lagos, did you see igbos contesting for elective post in any other south west state? how many yorubas have any stake in igboland? even northerners have much larger stake in the east than yoruobas. 2 Likes |

emiye: So when an Igbo man wins, it means Yorubas might have contributed to the total votes that gave him the victory but when Ambode or any Yoruba politician wins, it means they would have done so exclusively by Yoruba votes You see your life...Igbos voted massively for Apc yesterday. FitnessNigeria: There are more yourubas in compacted, dingy and mouldy project of brixton and peckan in England than in Igbo land. They blame everybody for their inability to explore other parts of their country and expect others to remain the same. How is the country going to function if the people don't explore, interact and integrate? How are we going to become modern humans if we continue to live in the past? 1 Like |

gbosaa:yes, DAT is more of the scenario, ibo's came with bloc votes to prove a worthless point, but Yoruba's in their typical liberal mindedness choose to vote for PDP, there was no bloc votes by Yoruba's in Lagos, my uncle who voted yesterday in lag cast his vote for PDP in presidential and gubernatorial. I make bold to say roughly 90% of IBO voters in Lagos went one way, the PDP way, you can deny this for all you care. 1 Like |

We believe fortunes abound the world over and that is why we are found at the remotest parts of the globe doing well. It is not a coincidence that today wr have some of us in UK parliament ,Polish parliament and so on and so forth .If you have been to SE you will not be saying all this because the standard of living there is comparable to any region in Nigeria if not higher. 1 Like |

emiye: You are wrong mister. You are only overcome with sentiments and emotions due to events of last few days. The online banters have affects you enormously. Igbo votes were equally split between PDP and Apc. Igbo voters in Lagos are the very peaceful bunch. It's unfortunate that they are being confused with online Igbos. Most of them never heard of nairaland let alone have the time to exchange words. Even Agbajes so called list wouldn't affect or sway them. I spoke with some and the only issue they have with Apc was the closures of shops and what they termed indiscriminate levies.( local govt, traditional chiefs, lagos state) and various other bribes. I know some who wanted to vote PDP but changed their mind on Election Day. Many didn't vote though. 2 Likes |
