DollyParton1: Lol. They turned what could have been a very beautiful city - into a slum with all kinds of slumdog millionaires thriving in disorderliness. Twenty million folks in a city like that, which is like half the size of London - is a humanitarian disaster/crisis. Hopefully, folks will start moving out of there soon with their "developments" and give that city some needed fresh air. Folks need to distribute that huge population around. The eyesore I witnessed when I went there in Dec. 2013 was just.... Loool. 2 Likes |

SirShymexx:Lagos has extended beyond its borders. It has encroached Ogun State and keeps going deeper by the day. Thats the coping mechanism adopted. From what I heard about the Igbo dominated areas, people say its worse than a slum, illegal structures keep springing up everyday. And when Fasola tried to clean up the area, they used the tribalism card on him. Dude had to step down. |
Re: Igbos Want FCT Ministerial Slot by SirShymexx: 8:43pm On Apr 15, 2015 |
DollyParton1: The more they keep extending it, the bigger the slums they're going to keep creating - with all kinds of folks moving there. Don't be surprised if in the next few years, when half of naij's population must have moved to the two states. A state like Akwa Ibom and its humongous allocations for example should take at least 3 million heads from that region, away from Lagos. Too bad the governor is utterly corrupt. Apparently, the fvcker doesn't even live in the state he governs - he and his family live in Lagos. They need to spread that population around - Lagos doesn't even need half of that population to thrive. The place is a huge mess, and I'd wager that a lot of the folks there are more of a nuisance, than anything, to be honest. They messed up that beautiful landscape so bad that even the air there stink. |

Re: Igbos Want FCT Ministerial Slot by LAGrejectIBO: 9:42pm On Apr 15, 2015 |
Igbo investors in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have called on the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari to consider them when appointing a minister for the FCT, saying they control over 70 per cent of investment in the territory. I have a straightforward answer for this nonsense. THE CONSTITUTION DOES NOT OFFER A PROTECTIVE CLAUSE ON RECOGNITION OF ECONOMIC, ACADEMIC, POLITICAL OR CULTURAL STAKE TO ANY ETHNIC GROUP. THE FCT IS A POLITICAL STATUS, IT IS NOT AN ECONOMIC ZONE. THEREFORE THOS WHO CHOOSE TO INVEST IN IT DOES SO AT WILL AND MUST THEREFORE NOT SEEK TO CHANGE THE STATUS OUTSIDE OF PROPER PROCEDURAL CHANNEL, i.e. LEGISLATIVE AMENDMENTS IN THE CONSTITUTION. 2 Likes |

basilo101:Gwarinpa Estate( the largest in Africa, I think) was developed by a Yorubaman from Osun State. The Estate with all its extensions covers not less than 10% of the total landmass of the Abuja Municipal and that's just one of the many Estates he developed. These people again? But why are they always ready to provoke their host. This is becoming too much na. 70% of businesses own by Igbos in Abuja is a white lie directly from the pit of hell... Can't these people live peacefully with other tribes without stoking up tension and ethnic strife. These people needs to be serious for once...you can never claim to be superior against any tribe or race in their home and have peace...this is a cheap blackmail to dominate others... Now I understand the reason for Oba Akiolu outburst... He was talking about a long perceive suspicion of Igbos trying to dominate with the election result in Lagos... I do not support the Oba though but now I understand his frustration. 3 Likes |

What about the clown in office right now who labelled you pillar of his administration? He can not fire the current crook on that office and replace him with iboman or woman? Why must it be the man you were used to keep out of the presidential race? Were you not the same people they used to form a parallel APC party to deny the real APC and Buhari the presidency? Were you not the same people they used to abuse and ridicule the man with derogatory names and abuse? Were you not the same people they used to spread religious and ethnic bigotry against the man? Were you not the same people they used during the election to rig him out of the SE? Were you not the same people they used to file law suits against his candidacy with the certificate nonsense which is still pending in the courts? The useless and shameless jokers always trying to reap from where they didn't sow. 2 Likes |

Have you ever seen a humble Igbo man who does not present himself as god almighty himself even though he is a starving man? If you listened to these people boast you would think that they are as powerful as the gods are supposed to be Igbos only fights for their individual gains. They seldom join social causes where they fight for the larger society, such as join socialist parties and fight for the economic welfare of all people. Instead, they are nascent capitalists struggling for their individual gains but not for social gains. And they are not even good capitalists for good capitalists while seeking individual gain eventually give their monies to society, as in philanthropy (Bill Gates made billions and is now giving them away to serve social causes http://www.igbofocus.com/html/the_igbo_problem_can_be_fixed.html Pretty much sums they up....smh.. 1 Like |
