What Does The Armed Forces Have To Show For Their $30bn Budget From 2010 - Date? by arbitter: 2:34am On Apr 17, 2015 |
I was just wondering what exactly has the military being doing with the nearly $30bn+ they were given from 2010 till date ? Just compare with Malaysia, a country that has spent about $20bn over the same period of time yet for some reason has a much better military than we do. Look at the inventory of their Armed Forces and compare with Nigeria's Armed Forces and you'll instantly see the difference. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigerian_Air_Force http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Malaysian_Air_Force http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigerian_Army http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysian_Army http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Malaysian_Navy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigerian_Navy Now my question is do you people really want Buhari to not probe all these people that have been running the Military and obviously stole alot of your money? (this is an indisputable fact right here) Lets not even get started with other sectors which must definitely have billions lost to corruption or wasteful spending. Some threads discussing past Budgets here. https://www.nairaland.com/827815/2012-budget-compared-2011-2010 https://www.nairaland.com/824151/2012-budget-breakdown-sectors-defence/1 And after all this when Buhari say's the money saved from corruption will go a long way in fixing problems some people MOCK him and HAIL the President who oversaw all this crap as a HERO. 1 Like |
