I rewatched it yesterday, and I was blown away, especially knowing that it's a movie of 2013.

marvel movies that released around that time--- like Avengers, Thor the dark world and Guardians of the galaxy--- are far behind compared to the attentively detailed special effects Zack put in man of steel.

So much emphasis is put on the fact that superman will be a saviour of humans.

a scene that proves this is when jor el tells him "you can save them Kal" after which superman flies while outstretching his arms, posing like he had been crucified.

he is also told to hand himself over to general zod--- something that Jesus does to take our sins, except that it is to the philistines.

of all of them, the most shocking is that superman is actually 33 years old!!. does that sound familiar?

Jesus was also 33 years old when he handed himself over.

this might be coincidence, but I hope you get my point.
