The Bete language of Nigeria is a nearly extinct language spoken by a small minority of the 3,000 inhabitants of Bete Town, Takum, Taraba State; its speakers have mostly shifted to Jukun Takum. It is close to Lufu.

There is this raging thread I wish certain people would comment on. We are trying to determine what should be the parameters of a consent age in 9ja and some folks (including moslems) r saying that the Prophet (PBUH) slept with a six/nine year old. Here is the thread:

Lets not deceive ourselves, the language is extinct already and there are no speakers, if as at 1992, there were only 50 speakers.
