To fight against xenophobic attacks on foreigners in
South Africa, African musicians came together in unity
to fight against the xenophobic attacks and Ebola in
some of the African countries the best way they can
through remix of the song titled "we are the world".
The song, which debuted at the 2015 edition of the
awards on Saturday 18 April, features 180 musicians
from seven African countries – Nigeria, Zimbabwe,
Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique, Cameroon and South
Africa – singing for peace and tolerance on the
continent.
Featured in the song includes: Harrysong, Iyanya, Praiz,
Tiwa Savage, Emma Nyra, D’Prince, Reekado Banks,
Di’Ja, Victor Pedro,
Yemi Alade, Banky W, Sean Tizzle, Emmy Gee,

Organisers of the awards
have called on radio stations to broadcast the song as
an act of solidarity against xenophobia
in South Africa.
