What manner of nonsense is this? This guys are busy collecting severance allowance while the masses wallow in poverty and penury!.

Even to pay the masses salaries on time is a very big issue with these a$swipes!.

The Revenue, Mobilization and Fiscal Commission should be scrapped and re constituted because its very glaring they serve to foster the pockets of the political elites!, when in office and even after leaving office!.

Yes there may not be hope as long as we the youth ve decided to keep bringing and encouraging those that ve ruled bfore nd the old to keep ruling again. Well if ur only hope for nigeria lies with buhari then that is urs but for me i believe in my self nd in other nigerian youths, i believe if nigerians can give we the youth the chance to rule we will do much better. So buhari is not nigerians last hope,

We have a very faulty system in this country!
The system and structure legalize and encourage corruption, as long as this system is in place, the fight against corruption will only be theory.

That was why Efcc couldn't do much during Obj's regime because the system and structure will fight any anti-corruption stance.

Do we need change in our nation? Emphatically yes! This is not just a political change, its a change of systems and structures. A change of mindsets. These cannot just be achieved through propaganda. There must be a deliberate willingness on the part of the nation. Every aspect of the nation must be ready, willing and also tired of corruption.

Our education sector must be revisited and restructured! All our levels of education must teach patriotism and against indiscipline and corruption. There should be courses that address these issues of corruption and patriotism in primary schools, secondary schools and tertiary institution.
It must be our consciousness. A growing child must know what corruption is and learn to say no. These courses should be made compulsory and anyone who fails the courses no matter how good he passes others must be made to repeat.
There should role models of anti-corruption taught in these courses and there should also be negative people showcased as corrupt people in our nation.

Where there is corruption, there will tribalism, ethnicity and other vices. How can the jail term for exam malpractice be 21 years and that of corruption be less?
Until there is a definite stand, seen stance, known stance, perceived stance, action stance against corruption, we are not yet ready.

Activism must be encouraged! People must rise up against corrupt officials and call them out without fear!

The fight against corruption must be rugged, vigorous, total and complete! It must be unbias, unfettered and clean.

All remuneration for elected office holders should be reviewed downwards. All of them, including that for ex head of states. I find it ridiculous that even those who got into office forcefully,i.e, through coup d'eta, are also entitled to an allowance. This should be stopped totally! In this I expect that Buhari, who is now the crowned prince of Anticorruption, should take the lead and put an end to this.

These political class operators don't deserve ANY severance pay whatsoever.

Nigeria needs all her assets and resources to secure 9JA and to develop infrastructure for the generality of Nigerians. The very last thing we need is to line the personal pockets of the very people that failed to do just that.

Sad.

Na wa o.

This nonsense remuneration package needs to be looked into once more. There must be conditions to benefit from this type of largesse and not just left blanket like this.

For instance,
1. Any political office holder with any link to corruption case (e.g Farouk Lawan) may not benefit from such package until the case is finalized.

2. Instead of the flat 300% of basic salary irrespective of number of years served, it can be something like 100% of basic for between 3 and 5 years of service; 200% for between 5 and 7 years and 300% for 8years above.

I just know the current arrangement is not right sha.
If your father or you yourself is a beneficiary you will not be saying all these.

What is the big deal about the president and vice president collecting 10 million and 9 million respectively. Thats pocket change. All those people talking about civil service what do they know. There is no federal civil servant that have attain atleast upto level 13 that would not go home with more than 10 million after atleast 25 years of service.
