pls can any good programmer assist me in developing a network packet sniffer/analyzer that will be able to monitor packets/ sniff them as they transit over a network. i will need some good ideas concerning what language to b used and others. thnx

Lol I would suggest Wireshark. Download and use it.

yeah thnx guys for the replies, i'm most grateful, but actually you guys dint quite get me . i said i needed a good programmer that could help me build something like wireshark, effetech packet sniffer, etter detect packet sniffer and all the sort. i am also aware it can be done with languages like C or C++, but i will need someone who can actually do the coding and implement it. pls anyone with any bright ideas should drop a messg. tnx

i can help you do these surf with python cus am just beginning C++ . If you need me you can mail me about the procedure.

@poster, is it low-budget or high budget stuff? so i will know whether to apply or not. I can program in an array of languages (especially where money is involved)

I will let this slide though - i think you should visit code project first. And as for language preference, i think you should let us know the language you know best - because everybody will tell you it is their favorite programming language that is best suited for the project.
