Tamuz Regrets Rejecting Nigeria For Israel.
In what should sound as a warning to players dumping Nigeria for other Nations, Israeli International Toto Tamuz regrets turning down Nigeria for Israel.
Speaking to SL10.ng his close associate, Olagunju Kayode, said the 27-year-old, who now turns out for Romania outfit Petrolul Ploiesti, is presently willing to switch nationality and rescue his international career after failing to make the step up to the Israel senior national team.
"I can confirm to you he wants to play for Nigeria, he regrets ever playing for Israel at youth level but it's never too late as he feels so Nigerian" Kayode told SL10.ng.
The son of former Nigeria international Clement Temile, Toto was born in Nigeria but moved to Israel in 1990 with his parents when his dad moved to Beitar Netanya from Bendel Insurance of Nigeria.
His dad would later relocate to Nigeria when the team ran into financial dire straits and was forced to stop paying salaries,Toto was adopted (unofficially) by Orit Tamuz who cared for him and raised him, which is where his Hebrew surname derives from.
Toto played for all arms of Israel youth teams but the scorer of 11 goals from 21 games this season in the Romania league only made the bench for the senior National team of Israel once during an Euro 2016 qualifiers against Cyprus last year but he ended up not being used as they won 2-1 away at Cyprus.

Toto Tamuz is a son of former Nigerian international, Clement Temile. He was born in Nigeria but moved to Israel at young age after a israeli club signed his father from Bendel Insurance.

Financial problems made his father returned home to Nigeria and an Isreali named Orit Tamuz adopted the kid and gave him the Hebrew name Tamuz. That was how he got the name Toto Tamuz.
