The Nasarawa State Government on Tuesday set up committees to coordinate the swearing-in ceremony of Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura on May 29.The 19 –member Appraisal Committee will be chaired by Jonah Ogbole while the 20-member Transition Committee will be headed by Silas Agara, who is also the deputy governor-elect.Mr. Al-makura was re-elected for a second term in the April 11 election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Zainab Ahmed, said the committees would take stock of government activities in the last four years and smooth transition into anotherterm of office. It stated that the committees which will be inaugurated in due course will ensurethat all government activities in last four years are documented and organise a befitting swearing-in ceremony.PREMIUM TIMES gathered that the governor would dissolve his cabinet as well as the governing boards of agenciesand parastatals on or before Thursday.A senior official of the state government, who preferred not to be named because he was not authorised to speak, told this newspaper that the governor had alreadymandated the SSG to take stock of government properties in the possession of political appointees.Already most political appointees have started moving their belongings out of government offices while most offices in the state have been deserted.

A "transition committee" for a governor who is about to commence his second term?

This looks like "jobs for the boys" to me. undecided

I am a pure and unapologetic Buharist but this kind of p0O can't put APC in a good light.

What is sane about inaugurating political jobbers to transfer power from yourself to yourself ?, naija politicians are lipsrsealed
Waste of meagre state resources!!

Wish the tribunal will confiscate his mandate and give it to baba aladiye(c0ckman labaran) cos he can't possibly be worse than this.
