I understand your points but within the context of the op's question the spouse is the one being mentioned. The average adult thinks about sex 3-5 times daily and there is obviously no one that has not once in a while skipped thoughts to other fellows but we just drive our thoughts back before they grow roots else we would be in violation of Jesus' standard and this not even masturbation involved. As long as one'e thoughts is towards one's spouse I believe the area is secure within the area of marriage. It is not a sin if one's sexual desire/lust is to one's partner. We do the very same things during intercourse, only some are using distance as a new yardstick to measure sin.

On your second point Paul regards sex between married couples as regular sexual relations. Not all the time is sex to create kids and I would say that the purpose of filling up the earth has long been achieved as we have crossed into the overpopulation threshold.

If we take on Onan's story we would see the case of a man that has sex with his brother's wife whom he married and refused to give her babies by spilling semen on the ground because the kids from that woman would be regarded as his dead brothers'. But in most cases of this kind of masturbation, spouses especially the men, watch porn simultaneously (this is were sin comes in). Not all men do this, but most are likely to. Using masturbation as an excuse to watch porn is in no way justified before God.

Boko haram is a different matter because their god instructed them to fight and kill infidels. Although they have been killing their own innocent people who are not infidels, the fact that Boko haram kills innocent people does not mean they believe it is not bad.
