The Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio- cultural organization, Thursday described as a disgrace to the Igbo nation, the decision of some Igbo people to beg the president elect, General Muhammadu Buhari for appointments in his government that will take off onMay 29, 2015.
President of Ohaneze in Anambra State, Chief Chris Eluomunoh, who is also the chairman of Ohaneze state presidents’ forum for the seven Igbo-speaking states, said at a news conference in Awka that issues of federal appointments were constitutional obligations which every president of Nigeria, irrespective of the voting pattern of a people in an election, must obey.
He condemned in its entirety, the move by certain people who claimed to be representing the Igbo to be begging the president-elect for appointments for Ndigbo in his government.

i quiet agree with this opinion, igbo deserves slots in federal appointments. But where Ohaneze seems to be missing it is that the slots do not carry the same degree of dignity. Buhari can as well give the Igbos the slot of minister of serving table or minister packing plates or minister of carrying wash hand water.

Even God despise the proud, the problem with the Igbos is that they overestimate themselves, they act as though Niegeria is all about Igbos, is everyday Igbos this or Igbos that, you dont have other tribes in Nigeria that seek so much attention as them.

I Agree with what the ohaneze are saying that appointment is a constitutional thing meaning every region should represented, fine...but saying it is a shame that some igbo elders approach the president elect is not a pure thing at all......the ohaneze never supported buhari presidential ambition but now they believe their people should be considered with regards to the constitution.....it is now clear it not only the yoruba that love to manipulate situations to favour them...every region want the best for it people but most time the best is wished for in selfish manners
