Business registration has never been easier. All you need is a valid ID, drivers license or international passport or national ID card. And then if it is a business name you need passport photos. A professional certificate may be requested if your business will provide professional consultancy services (not needed for all companies ).
Business Name costs N13,500 with CAC. Go to their state office and you can do it yourself.
Limited company needs an accredited agent, you cannot do it yourself. You need either a lawyer, a chartered accountant or a chartered secretary. You could be charged N60,000 or more.

You can do "BUSINESS NAME" registration as this one does not carry much requirements from CAC.You can do it by yourself in Benin if there a branch of CAC there. For a small fabrication business.All you need is your passport photograph. When you get there obtain a form for NAME SEARCH, which you will fill with your proposed choice of your busines name. OK, I'm not a banker or a pro, just giving ideas from my experience.
It could be that some banks give general form (kind of) but when transferring the info to the system, they choose the code (something customer really should not be bother with if a competent officer is handling your account opening.

I will watch out for the code next time I see my account opening folder.

GTBank will insist both signatories must be physically present. But many others only need specimen signatures and IDs
