committee to have an overview of our
performance during 2015 election and
possibly proffer a road map for the PDP to
return to its past glory.
President Jonathan
This committee has since been
inaugurated and we deemed it necessary
to come back to the leader of the party to
brief him on our appointment and to seek
his support and cooperation.
“I would like to announce that Mr
President has given us his words that he
will encourage and will support this
process and that he is interested in the
party returning to its past glory and that

that we remain intact and we also agreed
that all bickering have to stop so that we
have a position that will enable us rebuild
our party” he said.

been able to overcome its shock of defeat
and is ready to play its role as the party in

first reaction will be the blame game.
But I think we have been able to absorb
that shock and right now I can assure you
that all that bickering has stopped.
We are now ready to rebuild our party
and be able to present in a credible

The crux of the matter is in the bolded, the PDP as a party isn't interested in service to the people, all they are fixated on is solely on WiNNING(any means) and POWER.

However the possibilitity of them returning to the center in 2019 is between zero and nothing cos there is no way in hell GMB will fail to a level that the People will think of PDP as a viable option. Never gonna happen.

Its probable that they don't know how low they've set the bar for the incoming govt,#50 pump price, 12hours of electricity and 1$ to #100 will have people singing and dancing for joy.

"Josephing" is allowed though.

With the kind of Person GEJ is, I don't see him having the charisma to control the party, reviving it.
The only honor he can enjoy is being a former president and nothing else.
Can he pull the kind of influence OBJ pulled after leaving the presidency?

You were doing good till you got to the OBJ part. . What kind of influence did he pull? Tearing his PDP party card? Rambling on and off about snipers and shyt? Obasanjo was just another hyper-noisy character who was allowed a lot of space by a weak president to foul the whole democratic space with his patently uncouth outbursts. . Any of the ex HoS can be very effectively noisy as Obasanjo. It just happens that the rest are not like that. Most of the times, some of these guys much vaunted influences Are grossly overstated, . . , blame our highly opionated press. They used to tell us that IBB is the maradona of nigerias politics. As if he dictates events from Minna. But here we are with buhari as the incoming cinc. The same buhari that he humuliated. IBB must be having some nightmares by now.

It is utterly pathetic that as an active president, GEJ was unable to pilot the PDP. He never lead by example, allowed for recklessness, impunity and sheer disregard for constituted institutions of government. How on earth does the president seek to achieve this feat when out of office? These are my views and mine only, the sitting president does not command the charisma to lead and lacks the primary ingredients of governance.

It is shocking how a sitting president president would prefer to use militants to man the water ways instead of our Navy, or rather still inland, instead of employ Civil Defense to safeguard pipelines, he uses OPC (another armed militia). Now, why did you allow El-Mustapha out of jail? why did you pardon DSP? Why did you refuse to prosecute subsidy thieves? A lot of questions that remains unanswered and did sway public support away from the sitting president.

When it comes to restructuring the PDP, GEJ is morally bankrupt and does not command the respect to get the job done. What the PDP actually needs to do at this particular junction is to knock out all the fraud figures in the party i.e. Tony Anineh (Mr. Fix iT Scam), Bode George (NPA Thief), Buruji Kashamu (drug baron), etc,

The party can then infuse credible faces, merge with one or two other party, change the brand name PDP and then proceed from there. Other things needs to be done to restructure the party. Howbeit, I'm damn happy that the PDP is in comatose and should fizzle out.

it is an undisputed fact that Obasanjo had a very potent influence in the party when he was the president and immediately after leaving the presidency.

Moreover, OBJ has the domineering attitude unlike GEj.
