Barely three weeks to the May 29 handover, President-elect Muhammadu Buhari has said that his cabinet would consist of only committed people with experience and proven competence.
He stated that his selection of ministers would enable his government live up to its responsibilities and deliver good governance.
Buhari made this declaration at a meeting with northern leaders in Abuja on Sunday, in which he said he would focus on job creation, education and security.
The President-elect is expected to make his choice of ministeres public, for confirmation by the National Assembly, shortly after taking office on May 29.
Buhari had earlier said no corrupt person would be in his cabinet, with strong indications that technocrats, and not politicians or lobbyists, would drive his administration at the federal executive level.
