So you just created that really important Microsoft office file be it an Excel, Word, or any of the likes and you’d like to restrict everyone except you from accessing the file. One way to get that done is to password the file. Before now, you probably don’t know this feature exist in Microsoft office right?...sit back, relax and crab a cup of coffee or something as I take you through simple steps on how to password your Microsoft office file…
1. Open the file you intend to password

2. Click on “file” on the top left corner of the document window

3. Select “info” and click on “permissions” option

4. A drop down menu appears, select “Encrypt with password” from the drop down menu

5. A box will appear where you are to type the password of your choice, click “ok”

6. Same box will appear asking for you to retype the same password, retype the password and click “ok”

7. That’s it! You’ve successfully attached password to your Microsoft office file.

Note: Incase you want to clear the password, all you need do is follow the same steps back to “Encrypt with password” and clear the password by deleting (back space) it.

So guys, if you wish to block any unauthorized access to your Microsoft office file, you know what to do. Just incase any of the steps is unclear to you, all you need do is say the word and thypcdoc will be at your service.
