Two days ago Nigerian newspapers carried the news that a cumulative total of 17 Billion US dollars in foreign assets and bank accounts has been impounded from a number of un-named Nigerian State Governors. The seizure was carried out by the Nigerian EFCC corruption watchdog working in conjunction with Interpol.

Just for the sake of argument, that 17 billion dollars, if divided equally among Nigeria's 34 state governors, would translate into a stash of half a billion US dollars or 500 million greenback dollars to each of the 34 state governors, in cash and real estate held outside Nigeria's shores.

Evidently the Bayelsa State governor, currently on trial for massive embezzlement and money laundering in the UK, is not alone in his hobby, and in fact may have been outdone dollar for dollar by some of his contemporaries back home in Nigeria, all of whom are reported to have abruptly and mysteriously stopped all foreign trips since the arrest in London.

My big question is this :  If all our governors have been found with several hundred million bucks in unexplained foreign assets, who will run the various state government if all our excellencies are soon to be made guests of the state in jail cells around the country ?  Obasanjo, the Big Masquerade of Aso Rock, has taken off the gloves and put up the dukes for this episode, and the stage is set for a decisive war of the elephants.

You are a liar and have no bases for making these claims. All you want is a moment of "glory". Look mum I started a thread on nairaland. Here are some facts:
17 billion dollars is alot of money. In naira that is 2.5 trillion. That is almost half of the national budget of Nigeria. Please go and look for something else to do
