Vanguard has been noted for publishing inaccurate reports.I wonder how come d paper has sunk so low. Just check out how drastically reduced in quality of journalism and editorial finesse d following pro PDP papers have become: Vanguard,Guardian, Sun and Tribune. Guardian is particularly painful because this paper was once d standard bearer of d middle class and its objectivity and rich prose endeared it to readers and therefore advertisers. It was rich in content, mercurial in its editorial tint and a must have in every office. But pick up d guardian newspaper today and u would think u are reading pointbkanknews or a government gazette.Vanguard sunk, though not so sharply because it hadn't ever be known to b that rich in content or to adopt a neutral stand. Its a shame that many people now rely more on online media like sahara reporters and Premium times for good journalistic ethos, rather than the mainstream media except for probably d punch newspaper that is now d undisputed no1 in Nigeria. 2 Likes |
