The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has debunked a publication credited to The Sun newspaper of today, May 26, 2015, entitled, Jonathan Starved EFCC of Funds- Lamorde, in which the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde was quoted as indicting the out-going Jonathan administration of poor performance.

In a statement by the Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren in Abuja said, "The Commission takes exception to this report which is pure fabrication by the author for reason best known to him.

He said that EFCC chairman, Lamorde was currently out of the country and did not speak with the media and could not have made the comments attributed to him by The Sun newspapers.

Hmmm so there is still EFCC??

EFCC became anonymous under GEJ because all the accused corrupt people usually bribed their way out, in order to be a free person and not to tarnish their images.

But, that Jonathan starved their funds is what i cant really tell tho.

Let's just hope EFCC and ICPC come alive again under the incoming administration.
