The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel in his determined effort to carry out his agenda and to reposition the machinery of government has announced the appointment of aides to fill key positions in his administration.

The Executive Governor shall henceforth become the Chairman of the Finance and General Purposes Committee (FGPC).

The Chief of Staff to the immediate past Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, Mr. Etekamba Umoren has been appointed the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG). A retired Permanent Secretary, Government House, Uyo, a graduate of University of Benin and a Knight of John Wesley, Umoren is a seasoned technocrat who has attended different courses overseas.
