Give it whatever caption or title, this picture typifies what you get
when you remain true and faithful to your convictions and refusing
to allow your behaviour to be dictated by the misdeeds of evil. It
was General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) who deposed
the then Head of State, Major General Muhammadu Buhari on
27th August, 1985 in a bloodless palace coup. It was after the
coup that the IBB regime started looking for incriminating
evidence against the overthrown regime of General Buhari.
Unfortunately for IBB, he could not lay his hands on any. He
ransacked his predecessor's house and went away with his personal
property, including original of his certificate, but all these did not
help to confer legitimacy on his government. When General
Buhari's mother died, he did not extend to him the courtesy of
burying his beloved mother. All that is now history, and indeed,
prologue to a bright and exciting future for General Buhari
because on 28th March, 2015, Nigerians voted massively and
overwhelmingly for General Buhari to become the president. This
picture showed General IBB showing deference to the new
President President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari. Indeed, it
was triumph of good over evil!
