Breaking news. It of no news that the regent of akungba akoko has been kidnapped,it nw a confirmed one... She was kidnapped on her way to akure to grace the inaugural lecture of the federal university of technology akure, being delivered by Prof.igbekele ajibefun, the vice chancellor of adekunle ajasin university akungba akoko. early this morning all the indigens of akungba land gather together at the palace shouting,raising curse n different strange performance(charm).......... there faces was not friendly.. They were saying the v.c should provide there regent within 24hrs.. They'v blocked the way that lead to permanent site wth burning tyres...there is no movement along permanent site nw... The elder of the land are having there meeting @ the palace nw for a way out(solution). Student living around permanent site are advice to pass through the school field big gate.......... pls let be watchful.

Solidarity greetings to students off and on campus of AAUA
On the rumoured abduction of the Regent of Akungba community by unknown kidnappers while on her way to FUTA to attend the Inaugural lecture of the AAUA VC yesterday, the indigene of the community had commenced a provoking physical and traditional protest to register their displeasure over the whereabout of their traditional ruler.
We the innocent students are targetted to be victims of this specific circumstance;

Therefore, I hereby urge and implore our students currently off campus to remain calm and avoid any verbal or physical retaliation with the idigenes so as to avoid further provokations, those who can't make it to school should please remain at home as the school management does not have plans to shut down the university.
We are currently working to ensure peace in the community

I pray our academic journey in Akungba would never be in vain.
