There lived a man who had a beautiful goldfish in a mini-aquarium he kept by the window in his house. He loved the fish like his life depended on it and made it a point of duty to feed it regularly and felt sad whenever the fish fell sick. He rejoices everytime the fish recovers from sickness.

Just cos the goldfish could have access to the view from the window which showed it the sea and its beautiful waves, it started complaining that he was unfairly treated by its owner and wanted out. To protest for freedom, the fish fell sick and didn't care to recover again. This made the man feel really sad and decided to do the will of the goldfish. He carried the mini-aquarium, took it to the beach, then with eyes strongly holding back tears, he freed the fish into the sea. Not having the heart to totally let go, he waited by the shores hoping the fish will swim back to meet him one day.

Hurray!Hurray!!Hurray!!! The goldfish was very excited about its new found freedom. It no longer had to wait to be fed as it could fend for itself and also decide what variety of meal he wants. Life in the sea was very awesome to it as it was its natural habitat, unlike being cramped up in a little bottle and not being able to swim well enough.

Suddenly, the goldfish started seeing all kinds of creatures. The octopus, swordfish, the killer shark etc. It became scared as they all wanted it for a nice meal. It watched how fishes larger than it got killed by the sharks in the sea; it had to hide for safety. When it couldn't stand the harsh conditions like hunger, it realised that he was in a situation worse than life in an aquarium. He decided to make do for the shore so he could be picked up by its beloved owner. Successfully getting to the shore, it saw no one waiting for it. The owner had left after waiting by the shores for a whole month hoping the goldfish would return. The goldfish became stranded as it couldn't go home again neither could it return to the harsh conditions of the sea.

Is there someone you are taking for granted, even after they opened their heart to you and gave you their best, you still feel you deserve better? You can never know what you are enjoying till you've left such a person. Be contempt with the little you are getting cos that which looks mighty out there might come with challenges way bigger than you can ever overcome.

Are you thinking about leaving your husband to return to your parent's house because of a misunderstanding with him? Your parents house might seem like a mansion, but hostility abounds there cos you are not expected to still be in their house at that age of yours. Think twice now cos the man might not even wait by the shore.

Wow! This is a brilliant piece.

This is making me reconsider my actions towards a girl that gives her all to me. I pray she forgives me.

Nice story. You just spoiled it with the bolded.

Some marriages have plenty shark, octopus, killer fishes etc ready to eat you before your time. Next time make a good summary or let the original article be while we summarize it based on our own circumstances.

remember the bible makes it clear that divorce should only be on the basis of adultery.

There are killer sharks in every marriage cos it's not a bed of roses. Leaving a marriage because you think it's full of sharks and octopuses without adultery might turn out to be a huge mistake cos you might discover that the sea out there contains millions of that which you dread.
