President Buhari will be attending the

President Buhari’s assistant on media, Garba
Shehu, released a statement saying the
meeting will take place at the Schloss Elmau
retreat in Krün municipality, Bavaria, and
Buhari was personally invited by German
chancellor, Angela Merkel, prior to
his inauguration on May 29.
Although Buhari will not participate in the
main meetings (since Nigeria is not a member
of the G7 group), President Buhari’s
spokesman said the invitation is a clear sign
that the international community is willing to
cooperate with the recently sworn-in
government.
Buhari will “equally be holding key side
meetings with some of the seven heads of
state at the summit,” Shehu said.
