A former Chairman of the House of
Representatives Committee on Justice, Dr. Ali
Ahmad, has been elected Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly.


Ahmad was nominated by member-elect
representing Shawo/Igboidun, Mr. Hassan
Oyeleke, as a sole nominee.


He was consequently unanimously elected by the other 23 members of the House which has a total of 24 members.

Retrogression! yes, the guy is a whistle in saraki's mouth. This is what happens when u r too loyal to a God father.

It is promotion now. In d House of reps u are one of d 400+ odd members. But in your state u are d 3rd in command and d Queen bee of d house. Everything revolves around u in d state house whereas in d house of reps if u don't come to work for one day no one will notice.

by his new status been a speaker, its a promotion...3rd person in d state... It would have been demotion assuming he is just a member of d house... Infact as a speaker he can get tins done more than house of rep floor member. As a speaker, he will command more respect..
