....So thinks Germain Greer, the well celebrated feminist and author of the classic , best selling masterpiece, "The Female Eunuch", published in 1970 has described women today as "newts".

Greer, while speaking in an interview claimed women were better off when she wrote her ground breaking book(1970) than today.

Shedding more light, Germain Greer submitted that while she is a liberation feminist, equality feminism is a conservative approach that will achieve nothing.

The popular teacher, writer and polemicist spoke to Martha Kearney as part of Hay Festival’s annual Hamlin Lecture, which was on the theme of liberation. Greer has said on the topic: “I’m a liberation feminist, not an equality feminist. Equality is a profoundly conservative aim and it won’t achieve anything.”
