There is no way PMB wont be involved in the selection of who leads at the national Assembly we need to call a spade a spade. Saraki is unfit to be the number three man due to his corruption antecedent. Even though he has been hiding under the law..those who suffered the collapse of his society Gwneral bank won't forget him in a jiffy . This Govt must be seeing transparent in all appearance..whether Executive or Judiciary or legislature the right people must be put in place. It is even the height of arrogance for Saraki to ignore the meeting called up by Mr Vice President . If he could not honour that office head or tail it means he is unfit to be the senate president.

Why do you think it is the president that stopped it?... From my understanding, the ruling party did. Remember the ruling party has a majority of the legislators and when I say the 'ruling party' I also refer to the elected legislators and not just executives. This isn't a new thing in a democracy, it's also not peculiar to Nigeria.

Lest we forget in a hurry, when the last government of PDP wanted to settle a similar crisis in the NASS, they resorted to using thugs recruited from the Niigerian Police Force to tear-gas elected members of the NASS. I have just cited this example for you to compare and contrast. DO not also forget that since the new assembly hasn't been inaugurated, it has no leaders and it has no structure. SO who do you think is responsible for ensuring orderliness in such circumstances?

Progressives Congress, APC, postponed the
inauguration of the 8th Assembly.
Sources close to the party told Vanguard that the
adoption of Senator Ike Ekweramadu as Senator
Bukola Saraki’s deputy invoked the wrath of the
APC leadership and ordered that the inauguration
should be shifted to a later date.

even Bayelsa State with 8 or 6 local government is equivalent to Lagos State or any state claimed to feels too big
