I doubt if he knew that when they formally start the disagreement, it would tear down APC.

But then, must it be one person nominated? Why wouldn't a party nominated 2 or 3 and present to the house to elect. PDP problem started with imposition of one person, now APC problems has just started

PDP was there. The only way to defeat the PDP was to nominate only one person, not two. Remember there were others in the race at the beginning, including Akume, who was Tinubu's candidate. But they all stepped down for Lawan just so the party would not lose the post to the PDP.

Ruling is really not a problem for the APC, it's just that the merger which came with an advantage of solidifying APC and weakening PDP as evident in the election also came with its disadvantage. The demerit here is that those who made up APC are people with different interest and ideologies which is what came out to play at the national assembly today.

Till the law makers start defecting to PDP, then and only then can we be sure the APC will do everything in its power to fulfill their electoral promises to Nigerians.
