If the APC was a sensible party, it would have conceded the positions of Deputy Senate President and Deputy Speaker of the House to the PDP so as to pave way for the South East to retain the Deputy Senate President position, while the South South keep the Deputy Speaker seat in the spirit of all-inclusive NASS Leadership and not minding party affiliation. This was enough to reflect the realities in both Houses of the Assembly. Rather, they were hell-bent on a conquest mission.

APC As Agents of Disunity
Despite the North producing the President and the SW the VP, the APC in their devilish manner still went ahead to nominate Femi Gbaja and Ahmed Lawan for Speaker and SP respectively so as to create a permanent disunity between the good people of the SS/SE on one side and the good people of SW and the North on the other side.

Reason Behind Lawan and Gbajabiamila Nomination
The main idea behind Femi Gbaja's nomination was for the cabals to seize control of the lower chamber with Bola Tinubu and his APC mafia calling the shots from Bourdillon road despite its cosmetic appearance as "reward to SW". To achieve this, they needed their cabal colleagues from the North to be in agreement in their plot. Hence, they zoned the Senate Presidency to Senator Lawan, a fulani man from Yobe state in the NE and nominated (zoned) Hon Moguno from the NE to Deputise for their preferred Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila. They were silent on the Deputy Senate Presidency.

The aim of the APC cabal is to consolidate their control of the Executive and Legislative arms of government so as to further their own selfish interest. They deliberately left out the NC,SS and SE in the scheme because they thought that the NE, NW and SW APC legislators are all they need to achieve their devilish agenda.

NOTE: Gbajabiamila's candidacy was squarely for the interest of the APC cabals in the SW and not for the good of SW. Similarly, Lawan's candidacy was to serve as a reward to the Northern APC cabals in order to have them support the devilish interest of Tinubu-led SW APC cabals.

The PDP To The Rescue
Knowing the great danger that will brew should the APC cabals have their way, PDP legislators from the South South/South East, Ekiti, Ondo, Taraba, Plateau etc came to the rescue by voting against Lawan and Gbaja to thwart the evil plan of the APC cabals. The PDP instead and successfully backed Bukola Saraki(NC) and Ike Ekeremadu(SE) for SP and DSP respectively. The party also supported Hon Yakubu Dogara(Christian from NE) as House speaker to be deputized by Hon Yusuf Losun(Muslim from SW). The new arrangement brought legislators from SW, SE, NE and NC geopolitical zones to run the show in the legislative arms on behalf of the federation. This is a panacea for unity and a testament that the era of divide and rule by a group of greedy people is over. The emergence of Hon Yusuf Losun as Deputy Speaker despite his SW APC opposition is a testament that the PDP is not a party for the SE, SS and Ekiti alone, but also a party of all Nigerians that is committed to equity and fairness.

The SE Also A Beneficiary:
A section of the SE had thought they've lost it all when the people voted en mass for PDP in the March 28 NASS election. Despite the blackmails by some APC rogues within and outside the region, the SEners held to their conviction. Today, they've earned themselves the Deputy Senate Presidency seat. Not just that, the zone along with PDP legislators from the SS, Ekiti, Taraba etc now form the powerhouse of both the Senate and the House. My advice for the SE is to be prepared to present a credible candidate for the position of the Vice President in 2019 or even the President (depending on some factors) under the PDP's platform to dislodge the APC and their cabals from Aso Rock as the cracks within the APC just got started. The PDP in 2019 cannot afford not to have a credible SEner in its ticket.

The New Opposition
The PDP as opposition that is technically undergoing reform. The exit of its National Chairman and BoT Chairman means the party is set for more patriotic direction. The modus operandi of the PDP post-2015 has changed significantly and the party now appears to echo the voice of the masses.
However, the PDP can only be better if young and credible people irrespective of ethnic group join the party. On this note, I appeal to credible and young Nigerians to take advantage of this opportunity and join the PDP. As young people, we have to be very active, and position ourselves in order to take leadership roles and provide real service to Nigerians. The APC is nothing but #OneChance, the PDP is a wise platform.

I congratulate Nigerians and the PDP on the triumph against "cabalism" and godfatherism by some evil element that thought they are bigger than the country. Nigeria shall be delivered.

The APC as a party needs to undergo a three month intensive taining under the tetulage of the PDP. You can't compare a party that has been on ground since 1998 and first tasted governance in 1999(and held on till date) to a party which came into existence as a result of a merger in 2013.

What you fail to understand is that the Northern lawmakers ignored party lines to grab 2 of the 4 top offices in the Land. The real victory is for the CPC faction of the APC who wrestled back the party from Jagaban, and can now pursue their northern agenda, and PMB who has stood by his word and eliminated any blackmail Tinubu would have been able to hatch using the house/senate.

Some people have forgotten Saraki was nominated by Senator 'Sharia' Yerima (Zamfara). See the result -
