While we can say romance and politics isn't such a great mix, today we are taking a slight look at some of the most romantic politicians we've seen in recent times. We have shared several stories behind these moments with you so come along as we highlight them in no particular order.



Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan
Immediate past President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan was President of Nigeria from 2010 – 2015. He was unseated after he lost the 2015 Presidential election to Muhammadu Buhari.

He served as Governor of Bayelsa State from 2005 to 2007 and as Vice-President of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010.

While it can be said that Jonathan went through quite a number of pressure while he was President, that didn't prevent him from getting all romantic with his beautiful wife, Patience popularly called ‘Mama Peace'.


Abiola Adeyemi Ajimobi

Abiola Adeyemi Ajimobi is a Nigerian
politician from Oyo State in south-western
Nigeria. He was formerly the Managing
Director/Chief Executive Officer of the
National Oil and Chemical Marketing
Company a subsidiary of Shell Petroleum,
Nigeria. He left the oil sector in 2002 after
26 years, and was elected in 2003 as a
Senator of the Republic of Nigeria
representing Oyo South Senatorial District
on the platform of the Alliance for
Democracy.

After one term in the senate, he contested
in 2007 for the governorship of Oyo state
under the banner of the All Nigeria
People’s Party (ANPP), a bid which he lost.
He recontested again in the April 2011
elections under the Action Congress of
Nigeria (ACN) and was elected Governor of
Oyo State in a closely contested vote.
While he’s been commended for being
such a great Governor, we can also add
that he is also a great romantic as he’s
been spotted severally locking lips with his
beautiful wife in public.




Adams Aliyu Oshiomole

Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole is a former labor
leader, turned politician who recently won
a landslide victory for a second term as the
Governor of Edo State in Nigeria on the
platform of the Action Congress.
He recently got marrried to the love of his
life, Lara Fortes and they had a celebrity
wedding that boasted of several a-listers
including Nigeria’s President Muhammadu
Buhari.

Oshiomole locked lips with his wife that
got even Nigeria’s President Buhari smiling
in admiration.



Bola Ahmed Tinubu

Bola Ahmed Tinubu aka Jagaban was
elected Senator for the Lagos West
constituency in Lagos State, Nigeria in
1993, just before a military take-over in
December 1993.

After the return to democracy, he was
elected governor of Lagos State, holding
office from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. He
is an influential member of the All
Progressives Congress party; he also holds
both the chieftaincy of the Asiwaju of
Lagos and that of the Jagaban of the Borgu
Kingdom in the Northern Niger State of
Nigeria. He is the National Leader of the
All Progressive Congress (APC) party with
the newly elected president Gen
Muhammadu Buhari (rtd).

He has also shown that he is not just a
fierce politician alone but also a helpess
romantic as he’s been spotted locking lips
with his beautiful wife, Remi Tinubu.



Kayode Fayemi

Kayode Fayemi, (born February 9, 1965) is
the former Governor of Ekiti State and a
native of Isan-Ekiti in Oye Local
Government of Ekiti State, Nigeria.

Dr. Fayemi’s beautiful wife is very
supportive of her him, she shares the same
interests with her husband. They don’t
show too much romance publicly, but its
doubtless, so many terrible romantic fun
will always be in there privately.



Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan (born 22 October 1954) was the governor of Delta
State from 2007 to 2015. He assumed office
via an inconclusive election on May 29,
2007 and is a member of the People’s
Democratic Party (PDP).

A medical doctor by profession, Prior to
becoming Governor he was the
Commissioner for Health, Delta State and
the Secretary to the State Government.
Uduaghan ran again for governor in the 26
April 2011 elections, and was reelected.

Gov. Uduaghan kissed in the church in
front of the Priest like a professional and
thus he makes our list.



Babatunde Raji Fashola

Babatunde Raji Fashola , SAN (Yoruba:
Babátúndé Rájí Fásh?lá; born 28 June 1963)
was the Lagos State Governor from May 29,
2007 to May 29, 2015. As a candidate of the
Action Congress party, now known as the
All Progressives Congress, Fashola
succeeded Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on 14 April
2007,and was sworn in on 29 May 2007. He
was re-elected on 26 April 2011.

The former governor has been hailed as
one of the romantic politicians in the
country as we’ve seen him in several PDA
photos with his wife. Fashola recently had
Mavin artist, Korede Bello perform to his
beautiful wife as part of her birthday
celebration.



Musiliu Obanikoro

Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro (popularly
known as Koro) is a Nigerian politician. He
served as Senator for Lagos State from
2003–2007, and was later appointed High
Commissioner to Ghana. He served as the
Minister of State for Defence during 2014.

He might be known to be a fierce politician
but to his wife, he is such a sweetheart
and several photos of himself and wife
getting cuddly with each other have
surfaced to our radar.


Bukola Saraki

Bukola Saraki (born Olubukola Abubakar
Saraki, 19 December 1962) is a Nigerian
politician who was recently elected as
President of the Senate of Nigeria.

Previously he was Governor of Kwara State
from 2003 to 2011. He was first elected to
the Senate in April 2011, representing the
Kwara Central senatorial district, and he
was re-elected in the March 2015 elections.
He is currently a member of the All
Progressives Congress (APC); previously he
was a member of the People’s Democratic
Party (PDP).

The senator got affectionate with his wife
after he was named Senate President
where he exchanged a lovely kiss with his
beautiful wife as several dignitaries stared
at them.
