The last Nigerian presidential elections was the most heated up in the Nations history and so many still cant get over the fact that Buhari beats Jonathan to clinch the highest seat of the land, so it is understandable that many PDP supporters would trash or insult anything that has to do with APC. The just concluded National Assembly elections was a joyful moment for many PDP members, you just have to be on Facebook, Tweeter and any social Media to see how they were celebrating that BUKOLA SARAKI betrayed or went behind his colleagues back, connived with the PDP and got himself elected. In this happy moment, many did not even notice or stop to think that it’s the PDP that actually lost!
On that day, there were at least 50 PDP Senators-Elect, and about 8 APC Senators elect, yet Saraki was able to convince the PDP members to elect him!

With 50 members the PDP clearly had the Majority, they only needed a couple of more Votes which they could have gotten from the few APC members present and then Clinch the converted post of SENATE PRESIDENT! That would have been the real Game changer, actually outsmarting Saraki, who was trying to outsmart his colleagues that would have been the HIT!.. In this, the PDP missed a rare Golden opportunity! No matter what Bukola Saraki must or might have promised them, they should have played a fast one on him just as he played a fast one on his Party and colleagues. To rely on the Promises he must have made to them shows the PDP are not the smart politicians they are telling the world they are, or why should you trust a Man who left your Party to join the Opposition, and then that same man is using you to Betray his new Party and you actually want to trust such a man? Nope the PDP should have clinched the post of Senate President because it was presented to them on a golden platter, but they missed it because they were too focused on rubbishing the APC, but at the end of the day Bukola Saraki is still APC and it’s not even a week since he became the Senate President, 6months or a year down the line, he will forget he ever had a deal with the PDP and they will regret being a part of his moves. But at least one thing everyone can agree on is President Buhari is a disciplined man of his own words. He promised never to get involved with the NASS elections and he did not, and for that even his haters have to give him credits.
