Over time I've discovered there is no absolute finish line for everyone in the race of life.Our tracks are different and our durations are different.The only thing we have in common is the same empire.For instance, one person graduates @ age 20 & struggles for another 5 yrs to get a job, another might graduate @ 25 & get a job immediately.One can marry a virgin & wait for the next decade to have the blessings of children, another lady probably after having series of abortions in her past, becomes a mother almost immediately after marriage.A fellow becomes MD @ 38 & dies @ 56, another becomes MD @ 55 & lives to 90.What a life? Life is full of twists, turns-ups & downs & many more surprises & disappointments. Life offers each & everyone of us different opportunities & once an opportunity is lost, it's gone forever except by the grace of God. It is up to each one of us to patiently prepare, wait, recognise & utilise every opportunity. We learn on the way. No one has it all or knows it all. There is a reason why we all don't fall @ the same time, It's so that when one is down, weak & discouraged; the other who is strong can encourage & lift the other person.God never promises that the road would be easy, but he promised never to leave or forsake us. Although life is complicated, let us learn to go easy on ourselves and trust that God is working it all out for our good (even if it doesn't make sense now). Whatever trials, challenges or down times we face, all shall pass & in due course, we will be up & strong again to lift up those who may be down around us. NEVER LOOSE HOPE... The Hut

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.
Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions.
One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, and soon there was nothing left. The worst had happened, and everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. "God, how could you do this to me?" he cried. Early the next day he was awakened by the sound of a ship approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers.
"We saw your smoke signal," they replied.
It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain, and suffering. Remember this the next time your "hut" seems to be burning to the ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God.
