"AND HE MADE HIS GRAVE WITH THE WICKED, AND WITH THE RICH IN HIS DEATH" (Isaiah 53:9)!

The Hebrew word for "death" in this passage of Scripture is the word "maveth."

This is actually plural.

The translation, then, should rightly read "and with the rich in His deaths."

This means Jesus died more than one death on Calvary.

Jesus actually died twice on the cross--spiritually and physically.

1. SPIRITUAL DEATH.

The moment Jesus became sin for us on the cross, His spirit died.

"For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin" (2 Corinthians 5:21).

2. PHYSICAL DEATH.

The moment Jesus cried out, "It is finished!," His body died.

"When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished: and He bowed His head, and gave up the ghost" (John 19:30).

At the moment Jesus's spirit died, His spirit took on the same Satanic Nature that Adam's spirit took on when he ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in Eden's garden.

And at that moment, Jesus's soul became one with the soul of Satan.

Jesus literally became Satan's child.
