I Think it is safe to assume nobody here has seen a 1982 VOLVO 244GL, That is one car i loved as a boy, the sound was extra ordinary.

The rumour then was that each Rev of the engine guzzles one gallon of fuel and with a volvo 244 you don't need a horn.

My Uncle had one with which we travel to the upcountry states uptil the mid 2000s but sadly about 2 yrs ago the Old boy flipped it to make parking room for a Benz and Honda Accord (sic)

All in all i Love this Car.

Ever Gallant

This is one of the most reliable vehicles to have travelled on Nigerian roads.

Every turkey smuggler worth his onions on seme or idiroko route must have used one in recent times.

It is rumoured that the engine lasts longer than the vehicle (not the same story for our Toyota's these days)

I saw one for sale during my trips to Cotonou that was in pristine condition. Pristine means pristine. The carpeting had no visible dirt mark whatsoever

Classical.

whistles! just looking at this restoration again, Denn. Just epic. i know money died(or maybe lived) here, i won't even bother to ask what it cost, tint, tint permit, chrome finishing. it must be an experience every single time you get inside.

as in ever. put it in your will and pass it on to your future generation of children. let them know there was once a very rugged Benz that just refused to die and never should it be compared to the plastic toys on the roads of their generation.

Good choice. I doubt its pristine availability in Nigeria given our history of vehicle maintenance.

This car was already a classic even in the eighties.
Spotted one recently in lagos, true beauty.
Looked like it was just being driven from the factory for the 1st time.

This absolutely made my day.

I'm very relieved to see that there are still real Men in Nigeria who takes classic motoring seriously and with pride.

Wow! that Peugeot looks like it just came off the production like and it's being delivered to someone.
It's comforting to know that classic cars do exist in Nigeria. Respect to great men and women keeping the classic dream alive.
