For about two weeks, I have been trying to receive money from Senegal through Western Union and I was asked to pay 165 dollars for transaction fee which is abt 33k in Naira. Do I have to pay?

You re not meant to pay. All u need to do is to go to a bank that u av an account with, pick d Western Union form, fill it and make sure ur spellings and all corresponds with d sender's own that's all....... Dem wan scam u no ohhhhhh

Do you mean you were asked to pay $165 at the bank when you wanted to collect the sent fund or the sender is asking you to pay upfront? Well, a bank charge of $165 shows that the money you are collecting by WU is massive because the last time I checked on WU website, even a $10,000 transfer is just charged at about $50. On the other hand, if it's the sender that asked you to pay upfront, I want to assume you are old enough in Nigeria to know that is a regular scammer's approach to victims.
