Were there civilian casualties, how successful was the raid? I believe there would have been better ways to carry out the operation rather than air raid, or did the chief of air staff just wake up from slumber? All I know is that this same airforce has been found wanting even in the fight against bokoharam insurgency. This is a right move but with a wrong approach, u don't declare air raid cos u want to fight petty thieves!

While there is clearly a brief transitional lull in the actual fight which makes the terrorists appear to be winning, it should be appreciated that the aforementioned are crucial and vital for a solid foundation for dealing the blood suckers a final fatal blow.

All militants, kidnappers, and demented elements that think they can threaten Nigerians should either make good their threats, repent, or embrace the Hell-fire from the air.

Here is the reason for the strike. Everything else is long grammar. Buhari wanted to send a strong message to all the secessionists and all his haters in the SS/SE. Buhari is simply flexing his muscles and showing his fangs.

And what a strong message he did send. I am loving this. Let's see how the Cross riverians react. If they react then Ndiigbo should back them up, but if they don't, we should leave them to their devices.

Police action, not bombing, is required to stop such crimes as kidnap for ransom and other illegal activities stated by Owoh.

The real reason for the bombing of south south is sending coded message to militants in the South south that they should beware, else, they face the same bombings.

I dont support criminal activities...so if this is true that the militants were kidnapping and stock piling weapons then I think using force on them was a good idea...my niger delta people..enough of this yeye kidnapping all for personal gains..lets join hands together and fight for resource control instead...if there be kidnappings it should be to jolt the government to heed to our call for true federalism and resource control not to quench some temporary hunger for money...

Commendable but ill timed.
That transitional Lull, has clearly dampened the pace of the ongoing military operations and given d insurgents the much needed respite to regroup and reorganize and to start planning coordinated attacks as we've started seeing the past week.
That plus d uncertainty surrounding the future of the service chiefs may make the war effort grind to a halt.

The issue with most ppl here is that Nigeria cannot afford to open 2 theatres of war at opposite points of the compass, besides kidnappings and armed robbery are the forte of the 'police'.

But what do I know sha.....

This is retaliation because we didn't vote APC, this would only increase militancy. Lets watch where this ends.
