Please. It is a fact that habeshas (Eritreans/Ethiopians) think they are better. Except the ones who have a lot of knowledge. They
are ignorant as they do not know about the rest of Africa. They think they are the superior and that the rest in Africa are and look
like monkeys.
I know, I grew up with them. I used to hear them talk so much shit about west africans. they think west africa is just three countries:
Ghana, Nigeria and Gambia and see them as ugly people with negroid features and that they are the superior close to the white.
If west africans knew how habeshas think and how much priority they have in european society, they would not even consider
talking to them.

Africans should unite and develope, pls don't generalize ppl, we've different thoughts.
I don't feel superior than my african ppl but i do look good and  have different features.
This's got nothing to do with superiority/minority, its just the way we look .

u'll know kristen if you see twilight movie, " bella swan", we also call her kristen for her looks. , except for her
light skin, but she don't really care at all.
I do get compliments for my looks too but i don't really care either, it's just my own life i'm concerned about not my looks.

I've got friends from ALL over Africa. I am the only West Indian in my group of friends so being that "outsider" I have the privalege of seeing these things from another perspective as well as being a victim myself. Two of my closest male friends are Ethiopian and Somalian and one girl, Eritrean. Fortunately they do not feel "better" in fact they are the main ones at my school seeking out other Africans.

As for West/ central Africans feeling disrespected I will say the culprit is this scientific and religious notion (or belief) that all black people (and humanity if you are one of those Evolutionist tards  ) comes from Eastern Africa gives them this "we are the true blacks" mentality and therefore they see other Africans as just that-" the OTHERS". On one message board I even heard one arsehole refer to West Africans as "negro/ mutations" because of their "stocky builds, big reared women and flat noses". I dont know what his beef is but for the most part it is more of an ego deal for them or a reason to boast.

Let's keep in mind that even within their eastern region there is competition on a cultural and physical war scale. I will be honest and say that I too believe they have the right to claim African oldest civilizations and that Ethiopia is the only unconquered African nation however I cannot accept some of the blatant disregard they have for other Africans. I also want to make it clear that it is SOME of them who have this mentality NOT all.

The thing is separatism and tribalism is an African cancer. They acknowledge that they are black however it's this "us against them" mentality that even NIGERIANS/ Africans/ black people as a whole, are guilty of that makes us carry ourselves a certain way. Compare and contrast how you view Jamaicans/ Caribbean people or even other west African countries to your culture and if don't find that you are judgmental in a bad way, then you can cast stones. Its no different. Even the Caribbean you couldn't call a Trinidadian a Haitian or a Bajan a Dominican; etc. It's just a human problem. The way I see it is being that you understand the girl's attitude (your so called friend) if you cannot educate her then what is the point in dealing with someone like that or even letting it bother you for that matter? That's just how some people are.

This is not reflection of all of horn of africans . I am one and would never think this way . Every group or race there will be those that are ignorant, delusionals.

I am Ethiopian. I have read your comments it is shocking to say the least. How can you conclude about 80+ mill people based on 1-2 individuals? Most Ethiopians, like most Nigerians I met, are humble and considerate. May be poor knowlege of English and conservative culture makes Ethiopians wrongly perceived as arrogant. We are all Africans and we better stand together for our collective good. Peace.

I don't care about Ethiopians. People in my environment don't care about Ethiopians. I doubt a lot of people know what Eritrea is. The most 'perceived' superior race in my country is, the whites. Got 'Horners' selling sweets on the side of the road here. In Nigeria its cool to be a Horner. In South Africa THE BIGGEST MISTAKE IS TO BE A HORNER.

Miss World 2001 was Nigerian and she was chosen by viewers from all around the world! and not by just a handful of judges so please.

Hmmmm. . . . I think the poster is quite right, but it's not all Ethiopians who has such perceptions. To buttress my point, i 'm presently in Ethiopia for a research program. I am a little bit light skin, most Ethiopians always assume that i am one of them, only to found out that i am not Habesha. They are often amazed that sub-Sahara African can be fair in complexion. They always ask me if i feel better that most people mistakes me for an Ethiopian. Most of them don't consider themselves as an African, they only claim Africa when it suits them, but the category of people who feels this way are people who has little or no knowledge of the outside world, mostly Uneducated.

Other category of Ethiopians i come across, that is the Educated ones are generally cool, polite, and friendly. They see themselves as Africans and are proud of their cultural heritage.

There are some habeshas who are friendly, cool, and are proud of being who they are: Black Africans. But there are some, maybe a few, who, even though they are educated and have been living in the West, still think they are better as a habeshas than other Africans because of their so-called white features. what are these 'white' features?? a slimmer nose? ha. Also, i have seen MANY habeshas and they are not mostly light skinned. Most of them are brown skinned. I've seen a few lights and a few darks as well. I've seen more light skinned Nigerians than habeshas. Either way, who cares? How does the shape of your nose and the supposed 2 shades lightness of your skin make you better in any form, esp when your country and your ppl are the most poverty stricken place/ppl on earth?? Where the ppl there aren't well educated and even the ppl living in the States are mostly cab drivers?? I mean seriously, it's a laugh and a roll of the eye when i hear this from one of them. It's like the chihuahua barking at the doberman.

And just to make a lasting statement: There are beautiful Habeshas, there are beautiful Nigerians and beautiful Africans. The need to make oneself deemed better than the other or superior (b/c of some inferiority complex) is what gets me, esp when there is no reason to have a such a superior stance. We all are one and beautiful Africans who look different from coast to coast. Let's cherish the beauty in that and not claim a superiority which is silly and lame, nonetheless.

This not new to me. In the early 90's they immigrated to Britain en mas as their country was flat they were coming to UK as Somalians. At our local night club call 'All nations' in Hackney. If a black west African boy near them for a dance, they sponged you like shit, as to say don't you know your mate kind of attitude. They look themselves as superiors to other Africans. Somalians look themselves as Arabs. The north Africans don't think the are Africans except when its soothes them

No it's not, To Nigerians in Nigeria they are Indifferent to Ethiopians, they neither hate or love them, some Nigerians know about how some of them have issues with other Blacks africans but what some of these Horners don't get is many Nigerians look down on them in return because of their view that Horn of Africa is  impoverished and always at war, like Somalia for example(the only difference is Nigerians are not as vocal about it because they don't care as much to make it a issue as horners do). There are only a few countries outside Nigeria that Nigerians talk about like Ghana, Cameroon, South Africa and etc but not horn of africa; if east africa even comes up it is Kenya not horners.

When it comes to my personal experience well most Horners I know(in College) have been actually nice and not racist & consider themselves black and african however they were educated but I have experienced a few weirdo ones as well. To me I just feel those horners that have that view can stay in that crazy bubble because most africans could care less, especially Nigerians. Lastly the pattern I have seen is some of these weirdo horners that are opening up these type of "I'm better then other african" threads are looking for attention because I don't see Nigerians ever go into Horner threads at all but I see the reverse, so I wonder are they looking for attention? or recognition to console the big bubble they are in
