After rigorous campaigns, politicking, verbal attacks and insults that ensued, the much awaited general election has come and gone. Some won while others lost. But in all, Nigeria and Nigerians are the top winners. They won because the West were anticipating that Nigeria will dis-intergrate.
However, the wisdom of Nigerians and the patriotic attititude of His Excellency Dr. Goodluck Jonathan averted the expected doom. Today, Nigeria and Nigerians are still united and strong as one nation. Thank God the prophecy from the West failled.
However, the election is already gone and the APC have set up the new government. In other words, Nigerians have entrusted the country into their custody for the next four years via their votes, hence the activities and funtions of governance should take effect. But unfortunately, the present administration is yet to hit the ground running barely three weeks into their innuaguration.
Few days ago, Lai Muhammad the APC chief spokesman in defence of the present administration, took a swipe on the outgone administration. In his address, Lai posited that the Buhari's led federal government was able to achieve in three weeks what the PDP's led federal government under GEJ was unable to achieve in six years.
It was rather too hasty for Alhaji Lai Muhammad to start on this note. In fact, i see this as a bad outing from the rulling party. I have it on good record that Nigerians are not ready for any propaganda or horse-trading now. The APC must proove to Nigerians that they are prepared and ready to govern rather than taking them back again into politicking, name-calling, accusation and propaganda.
The APC must be careful with the way they utilize this mandate Nigerians gave them, as failure to adher to their campaign promises to Nigerians will incure the wraths of these electorate who defied all funtions in order to cast their votes. Nigerians will prefer 'a talk less and do more government'. Anything short of the above will not be accepted.
Once again, elections are over. Anything associated and related to propaganda must and should be discarded. Those at the helms of affairs should hit the ground running. Nigerians are anxiously and patiently waiting.
God bless Nigeria and Nigerians.

I strongly agree wit ur post, yes! Dey failed to hit d ground running simply because dey met what they didnt bargain for. Prob u need to hv access to d info wit d transition committee nd determine the exact state of d economy. Any serious govt needs careful study of wats on ground so dey dont gabbage in nd gabbage out. Lets exercise patience as dey do a thorough background check on potential ministers nd formulate policies that will be for d benefits of all. I bliv there is light at d end of d tunnel
