Ikuru single handedly jupadised Wike’s election
by acting as an agent for Nyesom wike in the
April 11 gubernatorial election, section 45(1) of
the Electorial act 2010 as amended states.
The insinuation making the round that Engr. Ikuru
deliberately showed up during the Collation of
the Governorship Results at INEC Office in Port
Harcourt and forced his way to sign the Final
Result of Governorship Election, contrary to
section 45(1) of the Electoral Act, 2010 (as
Amended), was a concerted effort. The Electoral
Act forbids a person in the position of a Deputy
Governor to serve as Agent of a political party,
but Engr. Ikuru, as if to curry favour from Chief
Wike went to the centre and eased out Barr.
Chima Boms and Barr. George Ariolu who were
the actual agents of the party. As, the Supreme
Court has put very clearly, the effect of Engr.
Ikuru’s signature on the Form EC8D, which is the
Return on the Election has render it null and
void.
The game of wits has just started in the PDP;
only time will tell the winner.

That can never be enough to void the election. The tribunal will not cancel a gubernatorial election on such trivial technicality.
