The wages of sin is death says the bible. Only God knows how many robbers that are among that mob. Jungle justice you would say? If taken to the police, more robbers would have been exposed but you can't blame the mob because many reported cases like that were in the past trhown out of the court for "want of evidence" as nobody wants to die of assasination for witnessing against confirmed robbers. as bad or evil as it may seem, this is probably the greatest deterrent to crime in Nigeria. The courts give a slap on the wrist and almost always encourage the festering of crimes and vices. If every armed robber recognizes that he/she will be burnt alive for the crime of robbery, he/she will stay far away from it.

Look, there is nowhere in the civilised world where violent crimes and financial crimes are equated. It doesn't matter if you embezzle trillions. Violently dispossessing someone of something (with the physical and psychological trauma that goes with it) is always worse. Armed robbers deserve the most gruesome fate imaginable. If you have ever encountered them and experienced their wickedness, you would know better
