It would definitely be JAVA, it was used more for other embedded devices before the arrival of this large crew of programming languages

You're quite close, but it would be C.
Most C++ libraries do not compile for embedded systems.

That been said, C is not used for programming hardwares

c++ supposed to be an update of c, and i said one language, i did not say without updates, cos if they were really one language, it will still be updated na

When you say just one language, I take it you mean a language that can be used to program everything, right?

C and C++ is not the same thing. C++ is also not, literally, an update of C
They're two different languages but very closely related as C++ is derived from C

Quick highlight: some companies reject applicants who lists 'C/C++' as a language they know. This shows that you don't know the difference between both languages even though you claim to have expertise on them.
Other more liberal companies would open that up as a series of interview questions, asking you why you did it.

"""NOTE C++ is mentioned several times this hour, so you might be trip- ping over the term wondering what it means—and how it’s pronounced. C++ is pronounced C-Plus-Plus , and it’s a program- ming language developed by Bjarne Stroustrop at Bell Laboratories. C++ is an enhancement of the C program- ming language, hence the Plus- Plus part of the name. Why not just call it C+? The Plus-Plus part is a computer programming joke you’ll understand later in this book.""""

quote from sams teach your self java in 24 hours, which i later learnt "++" means +1. unless i dont know the meaning of "enhancement" or "+1"

Errm, ok my argument is futile

I think we will have a very robust language which tries to be good at everything and in turn become less effective in everything

Please correct the topic of this post for subject-verb agreement; 'If we have...' That being said, I think such 'one and only' programming language can only be FORTRAN cheesy cheesy cheesy

Back your answer up with something sad

If there has to be just one programming language, it should be C++
Though I would wish it to be python

But looking at things philosophically, it will in all probability be BASIC or assembly language

It would have been assembly language if it didn't have different variations. Can you program embedded chips with BASIC? I think not
So I still stand with C
