If the DSS has been compromised then they should be used to protect the president with caution. Protocol demands protecting the president regardless of how ''highly placed'' the security threat is.

If the perceived threat is from the DSS, then they should be limited in function till the matter is resolved. When we blame the kite we also blame the chick. They brought this upon themselves by being political and used as the cats paw.

It surprises me that the DSS who is expected to be smarter allowed themselves to be used by a political party. I mean they are the DSS, they should know better than to delve into dirty politics.
